Team No Problem departs Antarctica!

Hello friends, family and loved ones!

We had great luck today with a complicated logistics. The clouds lifted at Vinson base camp this morning so we dropped our tents and packed our bags. The fog gathered again to threaten our take off on the Twin Otter aircraft but we were able to launch despite deteriorating visibility.

As we landed in the small encampment of Union glacier, the big cargo transport plane from South America, that was to take us back, also touched down. We had just enough time to grab a hot lunch before we boarded the jet. Six hours later we were in Punta Arenas, Chile having our celebration dinner. Afterwards were payed a visit to the same bar that Earnest Shackleton raised funds to rescue his marooned crew.

What a day! Our departure was so well orchestrated we are having a hard believing our great fortune. We are stoked to get clean and eat real food again!

All our best,Ben Jones and Vern Tejas

We are flying to the ICE!

Great news, the winds have dropped at Union glacier, Antarctica. So we are excited about flying across the Drake passage to the last continent.
Security checked and boarding.

All our best,Ben Jones and Vern Tejas
